Warehouse is in the Mission, near 16th St BART. Homeless folks outside, trash, but also a ton of history. I’m in love with it. Here’s the plan: offices downstairs, a school on the second floor, and eventually, places for families to live above. Oh, and a rooftop with a statue of splitting arrows—kinda symbolic, you know?
Then there’s the farm outside Seattle. We’ll go there for a few months each year to get our hands dirty and let the kids run wild. Gotta be able to crush pine needles and build stick forts somewhere.
I liked being homeschooled, but we were a little bit isolated. I want my kids to have freedom to learn, create, and mess up --- to engage directly with the real world. That's what exitbox is about.
I’m still figuring stuff out and know this project needs to be a collaboration of many dreams. hmu
